THE LODGE, STORE, & GREAT ROOM
Welcome! The Mountain Home Lodge, formerly the Mountain Home Inn and Store, changed ownership on Dec. 11th, 2019. The new owners, Greg & Yvonne Gardner are lifelong Uinta Basin-ites and know what a special place this is for outdoor enthusiasts. We are excited to take the reins from the Woods and look forward to meeting all the regulars and all the newcomers to the lodge. We also own and operate the Moon Lake Resort and run the two facilities in conjunction with each other. This provides synergies to accommodate everyone's needs that operating separately were not possible before.
The lodge was originally built in 1952 as a meetinghouse for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout the years this historic church house has evolved from church to country store, to private residence, convenience store, gas station, bed & breakfast, and is now a lodge, store, gas station, and great room (event room) capable of holding large group events that could last several days with our guest room accommodations.
The property includes hotel accommodation lodging with eight guest rooms: six with an in-room fridge and microwave and two with complete kitchens. Access to the main kitchen is included with the rooms. There are no restaurants in Mountain Home (the nearest is in Altamont, 15 minutes away), so bring your own food to cook in the kitchen, or on the grill out back. Guests can enjoy relaxing in the large, fully-fenced backyard, equipped with a gazebo, fire pit, barbecue grill, and swings for the kids. The courtyard outside Suites 1 and 2, is also a great place for smaller groups to gather.
This is the perfect location to bring friends and family to enjoy the beauty and majesty of the surrounding mountains and canyons with very comfortable accommodations.
Come as guests, leave as friends.
If you have any questions, please contact us via email or telephone and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you.
